Everything you said were very helpful to me as I am trying to decide wether or not to go into this industry, especially after trying several different careers. I am very nervous about the learning process, I don’t know how to draw, and I’m not excellent at math, would I have a hard time with some of the courses?

  7. It’s hard explaining why it wasn’t something pursued from the get go when it is my passion. I have a B.S. in criminal justice cuz life happened. That degree is much more lucrative where I’m at, that’s why I went with it over interior design. I plan to move and go back to school for interior design in a place where it’s more practical. Sometimes you have to wait for things in life and I think now is finally my time to pursue my true passion, not just what pays the bills.

  15. I’m turning 19 next week (November 29) and I wanna be an interior designer my cousin wants to be one t00!! But she says u won’t hold on to that because in 18 years ur gonna change ur mind and she’s turning 12 (DeCEmbER 14) but I wanna prove her wrong! I’m going to pass math and everything and get into that school after I do an part time job in collage aka (Make up artist) then I’m gonna be an INTERIOR DESIGNER!

Hey , thanks for the info , I really want to become an interior designer in Chicago that’s where I live but deeply scared , that is not worth the loans , but anyway can you please tell me what type of courses should I take in a community college before I get any loan , and can you please help with what online courses you recommend to take online for software programs like revit , ????? thanks

  30. Watching this cause if I ever want to open a business I should probably know about interior design and architecture, so it'll probably be a degree out of several but idk because I'm still unsure of what I actually want to do.

  31. I’m a freshmen majoring in interior architecture and design, u really gave me a lot inspiration to dig into this area. People around me don’t take this career serious and asking me to switch to popular majors.

  34. Interior design really isn’t my first career choice. My first choice was business management, but art is something I can really well (I can sketch people’s portraits and paint cartoons) however I would like to manage a business too. I’m not sure whether to opt for interior design because I’m scared I may not like it while in university. I just graduated from high school as well and I really don’t know what to study . Please helpppp

  40. Hello Sandy, I am from Nigeria and I'm planning to travel abroad to study Interior Design. I'm kinda lost because I don't know the requirements and even the school to choose. I have a first degree in Law by the way. Could you give me some advice, thanks.

  41. Sandy, thank you for this video, similarly to you, I’ve just completed a degree in Design&Business which is kinda branding, pr, marketing and only now Ive realised that maybe its not to late to try doing what Im truly passionate about ❤️ And good luck with your future!
